Tloma 2030, the future is exciting! Meet Bertin Sulle, a very dedicated teacher.

Tloma Primary School in Tanzania, Africa, has almost 800 students. Each Kindergarten through Grade 7 classroom has between 85 and 125 students. This could be a challenging situation for even the most skilled educator. Public schools are meant to be supported by the government, but lack of national funding often leaves them in dire need of both supplies and qualified instructors.

Paschal Amma loves teaching, but he was concerned about the challenges of teaching in overcrowded classrooms, especially for foundational courses such as Math. When I teach large classes, there are several things I feel I cannot do effectively. For example, I cannot give each student enough attention, I struggle to grade and return all assignment on time, and it becomes difficult to make sure that everyone has understood the lesson. Anna is a university graduate with a degree in elementary education. She is married to Zacharia who is currently seeking employment. They have two children, Debora, age 5, and Denis, age 3. Anna has taught for three years previous to coming to Tloma.
